MEANS magazine explores the often overlooked world of experimental and grassroots art, music and writing. We all like the romantic idea of artists working at the fringes of society, but the reality is this position can make it virtually impossible to find out what they are actually up to. MEANS seeks to change that. Each issues we launch an open call for artists to respond to our call, and pay them a fair portion of the profits if their work is included. Expect a broad array of arts practice, from contemporary score-making to creative writing, performance art projects to textile sculptures, academic essays to abstract paintings. Each issue also comes with a DL code for an album of new music responding to the theme too.
MEANS 6 is a full colour 72 page art magazine featuring writers, artists and musicians responding to the theme of 'DarkLight'. Contributors include:
A.C. FAYLER

JOSEPH BRANCIFORTE
