POST— is an experimental music ensemble led by Will Parker and Johny Lamb. Focused on improvisation, noisemaking, and the act of listening, the group works with scores as open-ended provocations — invitations rather than instructions. The scores privilege intuition and embodied response over codified systems of knowledge, unsettling conventional hierarchies between composer and performer while widening the field of who can participate in music-making. The ensemble rehearses and performs in a circle with all players facing inwards. This formation cultivates a heightened sensitivity to physical and sonic cues and establishes a collective space where no single performer holds a privileged position.
The name POST— gestures towards post-rock, post-digital, and postmodern eclecticism — an acknowledgement of what has come before, while refusing allegiance to any single style. Drawing from a lineage of radical twentieth-century experimenters, the ensemble reframes those lessons within a contemporary context. Resulting in music that is porous, fluid, and shaped by the idiosyncrasies of its players, their collective intuition, and the fragile, unpredictable act of listening together.
Album available on limited cassette tape including DL code.
