Veiled Existence : All the Quiet hurts cassette tape

£9.00

A pensive, at times brutal exploration of industrial drone, 'All The Quiet Hurts' delves into the lived-experience of mental health, unearthing a powerful, uncompromising sound-world. Layers of amorphous synthesis parry with distortion and grit, the inherent timbre of the work oscillating between assertion and fragility, assurance and collapse. Where many artists would lean into the pleasant ambience of drone, or the performative wrath of noise, Veiled Existence weave delicately between such states, producing a work of remarkable depth in the process.

The project began with a simple but challenging concept: each artist sent five original sounds to the other. Those sounds became the foundation of the compositions. They could be processed and transformed in any way, but no additional material was allowed—except for three personal sounds each, used only to complete the final pieces.

The result is All the Quiet Hurts — a deeply personal and immersive work inspired by the mental health struggles, resilience, and growth both artists experience in their daily lives. This release is also a reminder that no one should feel ashamed for facing mental health challenges. If you’re struggling, reaching out to a trusted friend, family member, or professional can make a real difference.

Released as a limited cassette with DL code.
